4 Wedding Trends that we are super excited about for 2019
What a phenomenal year for weddings 2018 has been! We’ve had two magnificent Royal Weddings from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s stunning Windsor wedding which took place on the 19th May, and Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding which took place in October! Both weddings have given light to some stunning new industry trends and have fuelled enough inspiration now ready to hit the wedding industry in 2019! With all this in mind we have taken the time to let you know OUR thoughts on what will be trending in 2019. We are excited to see how these trends may be incorporated into our work and design concepts during the coming year and look forward to sharing our thoughts with you.
2019 Pantone Colour of the year
So, the pantone colour for 2019 has been revealed and it is none other than Coral which we find extremely exciting! So much so that we have already started thinking about different contrasts that will ultimately accompany and enhance this magnificent Colour. We predict that silver will also play a huge part in 2019 wedding trends. More so this year than gold, which has always been a popular choice with brides in the past. With all this excitement around pantones we decided to carry out some research on what Coral symbolises and learned that it is a symbol of modesty, wisdom, happiness, immortality and health which makes it easy to see why coral was chosen for pantone colour of the year!
Wedding Dress Trends
When thinking about the styles of dresses that we anticipate will hit the bridal scene in 2019, the words bows, minimalistic and sleeves come to mind. After the beautiful Royal Wedding Gown’s worn by Megan and Eugenie, which were both amazing in their right, the one thing they both had in common was their beautifully minimalist design’s. We feel this style of dress will continue to trend into 2019 with features such as bows or statement sleeve designs. We also predict that you will see more lace V neck wedding dresses as well as wedding pant suits and jumpsuits for women. With all these changes we honestly can’t wait to see what 2019 has in store.
We feel that 2019 brides will move away from more contemporary colours such as whites and creams and will move more towards bold statement floral designs using oranges, yellows, reds and pinks. Not only that, but we anticipate the growing trend of using floral designs which are much more foliage inspired. We will also see bridesmaid dress designs up their game as they become a lot bolder with unique and original design’s.
As the industry continues to seek innovative and creative new ways to incorporate food and beverages, food stations are definitely a trend for 2019 using a variety of seasonally inspired offerings from canapes to dessert stations, and vegan to fish and poultry stations. This is a modern alternative on catering used to tantalise the taste buds of your guests while offering a variety of delicious options for everyone to try.
